Hello, dear readers! This time I’m going to take you on a stroll through the streets of Santa Marinella, a resort located in the Province of Rome, which I had already talked about in this post.
Santa Marinella evolved into a resort already in antiquity. It was a place where rich ancient Romans built splendid villas to spend hot summer months outside of the capital. Not much has changed since the age of the Roman Empire. You can still see numerous beautiful homes and rich Romans still come to Santa Marinella to spend there their summer holidays. Many houses can be admired in the area near the beach, for example in Via Ulpiano. The resort also has a small port, Porto Odescalchi, just near a castle, Castello Odescalchi, built on the ruins of a luxurious Roman villa.
As for my outfit, I wore my simple but radiant dress which perfectly matched the red oleander shrubs at the port. Enjoy the evening summer light and the flowers!
